Information

  • Products: Sparkrock 2016
  • Summary: Error: "You have not entered any request line" when trying to approve payment requests from Employee Center

Details

As part of the Finance process some users are configured to receive payment requests and approve them before they are paid. Sparkrock 2016 enables users to do this from the Employee Center, but the approver user needs to be configured correctly in order to be able to approve payment requests.

If you are trying to approve payment request from the Employee Center and are getting the error message "You have not entered any request line" it most likely means that there are issues related to the user configuration like security filters.

Resolution

To resolve this issue:

  1. Review the EWA User card of the approver user.
  2. Confirm if the Security filters configured there are correct, notice that the payments will have dimension codes and the vendor will most likely have a vendor posting group, this can also be part of the filters in the EWA User card.
  3. If the Security filters are not correct or the user is not allowed to see the transactions/vendor, then add it to the Security filters.

Impact / Risks

Before changing Security filters confirm with your upper management that the user is allowed to access the information that will be allowed after modifying the security filters
