Details
This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to create a new user in Sparkrock 365, including pre-requisites and instructions on reviewing permissions for the new user.
Resolution
1. Ask your Azure AD administrators to confirm the new user has a Business Central license (see KA-03458 · Adding a Guest User in Azure AD & Assigning Users in Sparkrock 365). Ensure they do not assign an External Accountant license, but a Team member or Essential license. More information on user licenses in Sparkrock365 here:Sparkrock 365 User Licensing .
2. After the license has been assigned by your IT team, you can add the user to Sparkrock 365 in just two steps:
a. The user account will be automatically imported when they sign in to Business Central for the first time.
b. Alternatively, an administrator can import the user by selecting the "Update Users from Microsoft 365" action on the Users page. Simply click on "Update Users from Microsoft 365 Actions" on the User page
3. Once the user has been added to Sparkrock 365, they will be assigned a basic set of permissions from your environment. In most cases, they'll be ready to go. However, if you need to assign specific permission sets, simply click on the user's name to pull up their User Card. Scroll down to the "User Permission Sets" section, and click on the first blank line at the end of the table to add another permission set.
