To improve productivity, Sparkrock 365 introduces the capability to add an attachment to multiple general journal lines simultaneously.

After you post the general journal lines, you can view the attachment on the respective general ledger entries.

Resolution

To support this feature, we have introduced the following changes to Sparkrock 365;

1. Go to the General journal page and open a batch.

2. Select the general journal lines to which you want to attach a document, and then on the action bar, choose Home > Attach to Selected Lines.

You can use the Attach to Selected Lines action to attach a document to multiple selected general journal lines simultaneously.

3. When the Attached Documents page opens, and depending on whether there are existing attachments, perform one of the following steps:

- If there are no existing attachments, in the Attachment column, choose Attach File(s)….

- If there are existing attachments, to add a line, on the action bar, choose New, and then choose Attach File(s)….

- The Journal Line No. field specifies the journal line number that is associated with the attachment.

4. Drop a file in the box. Alternatively, browse to the file that you want to attach, and then choose Open.

5. Changes to the general journal posting functionality to move the attachments from the general journal lines to the respective general ledger entries.

Impact / Risks

When using the functionality, you have to select the lines the file should be attached to.
Depending on whether there are existing attachments, perform one of the following steps

If there are no existing attachments, in the Attachment column, choose Attach File(s)….
If there are existing attachments, to add a line, on the action bar, choose New, and then choose Attach File(s)….
