Role Centers

Scheduling Administrator

  • The Scheduling Administrator role center is now available.

Employee Scheduling

Casual Employees

  • The Casual Employee field has been added to HR Position Class, defaulting to HR Position, HR Request and then Employee Assignment.
  • The Eligible for Scheduling field has been added to Employee Assignment. An assignment is eligible for scheduling when:
    • Casual Employee=TRUE and Leave FTE=0
    • Casual Employee=FALSE and Active FTE>0.
    • The value of this field can be manually changed and will be used as a filter to determine the list of assignments available on Fill Shift by Priority or Replace by Priority.
    • 5552

Confidential Information

  • The Allow Viewing Comp. Info on the User Setup page allows configuring which users can view confidential personal and payroll information. (2755)

HR Integration with Schedule Unit Employees

  • HR Staff can now select multiple schedule units on the HR Request in the Schedule Units field when hiring or re-hiring a new employee. (4942)

HR Pay Codes

  • The Default HR Pay Code and Default HR Pay Description have been removed from the shift in both core product and mySparkrock. The emails templates have been updated to reflect this change. The shift lines will error out on validation when the HR Pay Code is blank. (5496)

Max Warning Exclude Pay Group

  • The Max Warning Exclude Pay Group field on the Schedule Setup page that specifies a group of pay codes that need to be excluded from the Max Hours Calculations is now replaced by the Exclude from Maximum Tests field on the HR Pay Cycle. (5779)

Override Hourly Rate

  • The Override Hourly Rate field has been added to Schedule Unit Activities. When a shift has this activity assigned, on transferring the activity to the compensation journal, the override hourly rate will be used, rather than the employee's pay grid rate for the associated assignment. (4885)

Priority by Seniority Hours

  • Calculating seniority hours has changed for Sparkrock 365 and the new fields are used when Schedule Setup is configured to show priority by Seniority Hours.
  • An editable Seniority Days/Hours field has been added to the HR Employee Assignment. The field is blank for new hires, and is incremented with every posted payroll from the Compensation Journal's Hours/Days Worked field.
  • A new function has been created and added to the Details Change, Leave (full return, leave and return, GRW) and the Transfer reason, which allows the seniority hours to be carried forward from prior assignment. This function can be removed from the Transfer reason if the hours should be resent upon Transfer. The Rehire Action would not cause the hours to zero out. They should carry forward.
  • 5501

Schedules

  • Mass Validate Schedules now validates shifts with type position from a schedule for the specified pay cycle and all shifts from the template(s) when Include Templates is on. (5509)
