Sparkrock 365 Minimum Technical Requirements

This document outlines technical considerations when implementing Sparkrock 365

Note: When referring to Sparkrock 365 this includes the following products: mySparkrock, Finance and Procurement, HR Management, Payroll Administration, and Scheduling and Time Entry.

Azure Active Directory

Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) is a cloud service that provides identity and access capabilities for your users to access Microsoft applications. It is required for you to access Sparkrock 365.

Azure AD provides you with single sign-on (SSO) capabilities for your Microsoft applications. This is used for Sparkrock 365 as well. With these SSO capabilities, you will be able to access the following Sparkrock 365 URLs:

  • [customer].sparkrock365.com

  • [customer].mysparkrock.com

You, the customer, are required to provision your own Azure AD. To get started with Azure AD, please read Azure Active Directory (AD) Domain Services. You will own your Azure AD and Sparkrock will not be responsible for provisioning, maintaining, or supporting it.

During product delivery, Sparkrock will be required to add elements to your Azure AD, such as authentication IDs, authentication keys and other elements as needed to support the Sparkrock 365 product.

Supported Browsers

In order to access the suite of Sparkrock 365 products, we recommend that you verify the minimum browser requirements necessary to access Sparkrock 365:

Microsoft Edge

  • Sparkrock 365 is designed to work with the current version of Microsoft Edge on a current operating system.

Google Chrome for Windows or Android

  • Sparkrock 365 is designed to work with the current version of Google Chrome on a current operating system.

Firefox for Windows

  • Sparkrock 365 is designed to work with the current version of Firefox on a current Windows operating system.

Safari

  • Sparkrock 365 supports the current version of Safari on current iOS-based devices.
  • Note: Sparkrock 365 was not optimized for Safari

Email Service

Sparkrock 365 has the ability to send system emails such as notifications and files from within the product. In order to access this capability, you are required to have the Microsoft Outlook email service or another SMTP supported email service.

Outlook Add-In

Sparkrock 365 supports the ability to view vendor, financial and other data inside the ‘Contact Insights’ feature of the Business Central Outlook Add-in. In order to use the Business Central Outlook Add-in with Sparkrock 365, you will need Outlook 2016 or later. Sparkrock 365 was not optimized for older versions of Outlook.

Microsoft Excel

Sparkrock 365 supports the ability to open data in Excel. In order to use Excel with Sparkrock 365, you will need Excel 2016 or later. Sparkrock 365 was not optimized for older versions of Excel.
