Sparkrock 365 Sandbox Creation Guide

Modified on Mon, 28 Jul at 6:17 PM

Sparkrock 365 administrators can refresh sandboxes by copying the Production environment.

1. Sign-in to your production instance of Sparkrock365.

2. Choose the settings icon (gear) at the top and select ‘Admin Center’ (Note, this will only appear if you are an Administrator).

Delete Existing Sandbox (Optional)

3. If you have reached your maximum number of sandboxes, you may need to delete one before creating a new sandbox.

Note: Deleting an existing sandbox to replace with a copy has some risks. Other staff, Sparkrock support or Sparkrock consultants may be using an existing sandbox. Make sure to confirm the deletion of an existing sandbox with your internal teams and external resources.

To select an existing sandbox, click on its name from the list of environments to view more details.

4. To delete a sandbox environment, select ‘Delete’ from the top ribbon.

Confirm you are deleting the correct environment. Ensure you do not accidentally delete your Production environment!

7. In the tab that opens, choose a name for the new environment.

Important: If you name the new sandbox PTS, it will trigger the automatic creation of a mySparkrock instance.

To connect the new PTS mySparkrock instance, there are additional steps that are required on the mySparkrock Solution Setup page in Sparkrock 365. See this KB article for more information.

Set the New environment type to 'Sandbox'

Once the sandbox is created, if you click on its name from the environment list.
