This document provides troubleshooting steps for resolving Control Add-In error:
“An error occurred while creating the control add-in for “Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Client.BusinessChart;PublicKeyToken-31bf3856ad364e35". Error message: An exception has been thrown by the taget of an invocation.”
Resolution
To address the error that occurs on the landing page of your NAV environment, please contact Sparkrock Support as there are a couple of ways to fix this, depending if is affecting all users or just one of them.

Workaround
To remove the subpage that triggers this issue, follow these steps:
1. Click on the arrow at the top left of the screen.
2. Click Customize, then Customize this Page.
3. Under the "Role Center Layout" section, select the subpage - Expense Claims by Status.
4. Click Remove to return it to the "Available Parts" and click "OK".
This will remove the subpage from your landing page. Please share these instructions with any affected user to complete their customization for the affected subpages.
