 This Knowledge Base Article (KBA) provides important information regarding changes to the Basic Personal Exemption for Manitoba in Sparkrock 2016. These changes are effective July 1, 2023, and require updating the Tax Auth Info for employees and adding a new line for Manitoba under the Income Tax Exemption Level.

 

Resolution

To implement these changes in SR2016, follow the steps below:

  1. Search and open the HR Employees list.
  2. Access the Tax Auth Info section under the Employees Payroll Details section.
  3. Update the Tax Auth Info for employees by adding a new line for Manitoba under the Income Tax Exemption Level effective July 1, 2023, using the Income Tax Exemption Level to the new value of $15,000.

 

  1. Ensure that the configuration packages are available to update this information for all employees or you can run the Mass Employee Tax Info Update report to bulk update for all employees.
