This Knowledge Base Article (KBA) provides important information regarding changes to the Basic Personal Exemption for Manitoba, Canada in Sparkrock 365. These changes are effective July 1, 2023, and require updating the Tax Auth Info for employees and adding a new line for Manitoba under the Income Tax Exemption Level. 

 

Resolution

To implement these changes in Sparkrock 365, follow the steps below:

  1. Access the Payroll Setup page. 
  2. Choose the "Get Tax Settings" option. The system will take a few minutes to download this information.
  3. To verify if the new tax settings are in place, just go to Payroll Tax Setup, click on CAN and organize the table by Date (descending). You should see an entry for Manitoba (Code1=MB) where the date field should is 7/1/2023.
