SUMMARY
To ensure that your system is compliant with the updated XML Schema for the 2024 T4s provided by CRA, it is important to update the Primo Payday app to the latest version. This update is crucial in order to accurately extract the correct version of the XML.
CRA has implemented validators on their website so if you try to upload the XML file without completing these steps first you will face an error message indicating "We are unable to process your submission because the transmitter CRA account number given in the attached T619 electronic transmittal record does not match the account number you used to sign in."
RESOLUTION
To update the Primo Payday app, we will need help from the person who creates the sandboxes in your organization, normally the IT department. Please ask them to follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Admin Center
- Click on the Production environment, and press Apps at the top left
- Here you will find the Primo Payday app with a new version available, click on Install update. Select to run it now, do not schedule it.
- Wait for a few minutes and click Refresh until the status displays Up to Date.
Once this is complete, you can extract the T4 XML again and verify the business number which will be picked from the information you filled in under HR Companies in SR365.
ADDITIONAL INFO
Remember that to download the correct XML file when running the T4 Report you have to enable the option XML Export, fill in the filters as needed and then choose Send to... PDF.
