Upgrading Sparkrock 365 from Version 25 to Version 26

Summary

All Sparkrock 365 customers currently on version 25 must upgrade to version 26 by August 31st. This upgrade requires action from your IT team through the Microsoft Business Central Admin Center.

Failure to upgrade before the deadline may result in service disruptions.


Prerequisites

  • Access to the Business Central Admin Center with Administrator rights.


Step-by-Step Upgrade Instructions

  1. Log in to the Business Central Admin Center

  2. From the left panel, choose the Environment section and click on the one you want to update

  3. Update Sparkrock & Primo Apps

    • In the selected environment, go to the top menu and click Apps.

    • Locate the Sparkrock and Primo apps. You can do this easily by sorting by Publisher.

    • Install any available updates for the apps.

    • Wait until the updates are completed successfully before proceeding.

  4. Schedule the Upgrade to Version 26

    • Return to the Environment details page.

    • Under the Update Settings section, modify the Next Update to be v26.4. In case you only see version 25.5, you need to first update to that version and then update to the latest v26 you have available.

    • If you are updating a Sandbox, you can enable the option "Allow the update to run outside the update window."

    • Pick a date and time that aligns with your organization’s maintenance window, the earlier the better, in case the upgrade fails for any reason (environments must be updated by August 31st).

  5. Confirm the Upgrade

    • Save the schedule and verify that the update appears under Scheduled Updates.


  6. Post-Upgrade Verification

    • After the upgrade completes, go back into the Business Central Admin Center and check the Current Version value

    • Verify core business processes (finance, payroll, HR, etc.) are working as expected.


Important Notes

  • The Sparkrock and Primo apps must be updated first before the environment upgrade to avoid compatibility issues.

  • We strongly recommend scheduling the upgrade outside of business hours to minimize disruption.

  • If you encounter issues, contact Sparkrock Support immediately with an urgent ticket.


Deadline

All upgrades must be completed no later than August 31st.
