- Summary: Troubleshooting mySparkrock connectivity issues
Details
If an error appears upon attempted login to mySparkrock, or upon login the user is unable to select a company to access through mySparkrock, follow these steps to ensure required setup has been performed
Resolution
Follow these steps to ensure mySparkrock is setup correctly.
1) In the Sparkrock 365 environment, go to Azure Active Directory and ensure that mySparkrock is enabled:
2) Stil in Azure Active Directory menu, click the client ID that belongs to mysparkock. This should bring you to the Azure Active Directory Application Card. A member of your IT department should have clicked in Grant Consent when Sparkrock 365 was first implemented. Doing this step again will ensure mySparkrock is still active as an Azure AD application.
3) Go to mySparkrock Companies and ensure that the companies which should be accessible through mySparkrock, and only the companies which should be accessible through mySparkrock are listed.
4) Go to mySparkrock Users and ensure that there is a User named MYSPARKROCK. If not, create the user and input MYSPARKROCK into the User Name field.
5) Then ensure that each of the mySparkrock companies are listed in the User card. Note that the MYSPARKROCK user does not require access dates.
6) Starting Sparkrock 365 version 20.4, the mySparkrock user MYSPARKROCK requires a profile for each company. See image below for details.
7) Ensure the mysparkrock user has an entry under the User Setup page with all permissions enabled.
8) If an Error message appears upon login, indicating that the EWA setup card is not correctly configured, go to mySparkrock User Setup and ensure that there is an Employee No. associated with the mySparkrock User, and that on this Employee’s card Company Email = the authentication email that the user is using to log into mySparkrock.
Impact / Risks
As long as the settings remain as shown in the steps above, there should not be any risk.
