Setting up Benefit Eligibility Dates for HR Request in Sparkrock 365

  • Summary: This is to setup the Benefit Eligibility Date using the Benefit Group Plans page to prevent recurring error in HR Requests

DETAILS

When processing a HR Request for Additional Assignment, you may get an error like this requiring Benefit Eligibility Date in the HR Request Emp. Benefit, here is how to set it up in Benefits Group Plans to be connected to your Benefit Group Code and reflect either the beginning of the month or the end of the month.

RESOLUTION

To setup the Benefit Eligibility Date
1. In the Benefit Group Plans page, for each Benefit Plan Code you have, setup an Eligibility Date Calculation as shown

IMPACT / RISKS

It is important to note that the responsibility for updating the effective date column with the calculated eligibility date lies with the payroll officer. This should be done before processing any HR requests.
When you have set this up, the eligibility date will be determined regardless of your employment start date.

 

WORKAROUND

Enter Benefits Eligibility Date manually from the HR Request Employee Benefit section.
